Zardozi is an Afghan NGO that works primarily with vulnerable Afghan women helping them to improve their livelihood situation through business. In 2012, it launched an initiative named Nisfe Jahan (Half the World) which consists of neighbourhood membership associations that provide training, support and mentorship to women in Kabul, Herat, Mazar and Jalalabad. The video takes a glimpse into some of the branches of Nisfe Jahan in Mazar, including the home of one of the branch leaders where she hosts weekly meetings and training sessions.  Women who take part include returnees from Iran and IDPs.  The Nisfe Jahan model is based on sustainability and draws part of its funding from membership fees generated by the women who attend.

All those who took part in the video provided their full, informed consent
