The ADSP is governed by its three founding member organisations- the Danish Refugee Council, International Rescue Committee, and Norwegian Refugee Council. The founding members of ADSP have significant expertise in responding to the needs of displaced individuals. Furthermore, they have extensive operations across both the Afghan and Myanmar displacement axes. The ADSP has a distinct identity from its member organisations, but is governed by a Steering Committee presently comprised of the Regional Directors of the three founding members.

Danish Refugee Council
The Danish Refugee Council works in conflict-affected areas, along displacement routes, and in the countries where refugees settle to deliver direct humanitarian assistance in displacement and host communities. In Asia, DRC’s work includes Protection, Economic Recovery, Humanitarian Disarmament and Peace-building, Shelter & Settlements and Camp Coordination and Camp Management. DRC is Denmark’s largest NGO, working across more than 40 countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Myanmar.  

International Rescue Committee
The mission of the International Rescue Committee is to help people whose lives and livelihoods have been shattered by conflict and disaster, including the climate crisis, to survive, recover and gain control over their future. IRC helps restore the health, safety, education, economic wellbeing and power of people devastated by conflict and disaster, and fights for a world where women and girls have an equal chance to succeed. IRC works in more than 40 countries worldwide, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand.  

Norwegian Refugee Council 

The Norwegian Refugee Council works to protect the rights of displaced and vulnerable people during crises, providing assistance to meet immediate humanitarian needs, prevent further displacement and contribute to durable solutions. NRC hosts stand-by rosters that provide expertise as a strategic partner to the UN and national / international actors, and, undertakes advocacy that calls for rights to be upheld and for lasting solutions to be achieved. NRC works in more than 30 countries, including Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Iran and Myanmar.
